Your gift to the DC Annual Fund is a demonstration of your belief in the Defiance College experience. The Annual Fund provides essential, unrestricted funds that support financial aid, curriculum and faculty development, technology expansion, campus maintenance, and so many other areas vital to the solid liberal arts education our students receive.
Members of this select society are at the highest level of philanthropic support. These annual gifts of $25,000 or more signify the donors' firm conviction in the mission and direction of Defiance College. This group is saluted for their transformational contributions in the College's Honor Roll of Donors published each year.
Judge S.T. Sutphen Circle » Donate Online
Members of the Judge S.T. Sutphen Circle are those who demonstrate their support of Defiance College with a leadership gift of $10,000 to $24,999. Individuals who join the Sutphen Circle are recognized for their outstanding philanthropy in the College's Honor Roll of donors published each year.
Trustee Society members are a distinguished group of donors who choose to make unrestricted, current-use gifts to Defiance College of $7,500 to $9,999 within a single year. Their contributions are recognized in the annual Honor Roll of Donors.
Members of the Charter Society have the satisfaction of knowing their annual gifts of $5,000 to $7,499 have a tremendous impact on DC's ability to maintain academic excellence and assure the College's growth and advancement. Charter Society members are saluted in the annual Honor Roll of Donors.
Founder's Society contributors have demonstrated their commitment to Defiance College by making unrestricted annual gifts between $2,500 and $4,999. Founder's Society donors are recognized in the annual Honor Roll.
Donors who have stepped up to this special group have chosen to make unrestricted contributions of $1,000 to $2,499, joining others who make a tremendous impact on the College each year. As with all gift societies, the members of the President's Society are acknowledged in the Honor Roll of Donors.
The Defiance Society recognizes those alumni and friends who have made a commitment to the success of Defiance College of $500 to $999 annually. Members of the Defiance Society are acknowledged in each year's Honor Roll of Donors.
The Advancement Society consists of donors who want to make their mark on the future of Defiance College with annual gifts of $250 to $499. Advancement Society members are recognized in the yearly Honor Roll of Donors.
In honor of Defiance College's many years of service, members in the Anniversary Society choose to make annual gifts of $157 to $249. The Anniversary Society is recognized in the yearly Honor Roll of Donors.
Created for our youngest alumni, this giving society offers recent graduates an opportunity to show their support for DC with a gift of $10 for each year since their graduation. The Service Society is also recognized annually in the Honor Roll of Donors.
Luella A. Joost Memorial Scholarship » Donate Online
The family and friends of Lou Joost have established an endowed scholarship in her name at Defiance College. Lou, who had been the College’s receptionist and switchboard operator for the past 39 years, died April 20, 2007. The Luella A. Joost Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to deserving students with financial need who best exemplify the Defiance College spirit. The scholarship may be renewed by the College annually during the recipient’s undergraduate education.
