The Alumni Varsity 'D' is an organization created to promote athletics at Defiance College. Membership in the Alumni Varsity 'D' is open to any former student who earned one or more athletic letters in any sport at Defiance College. Former athletes have helped continue the rich tradition of intercollegiate athletics by providing financial support to the many DC athletic programs through membership donations and fundraisers.
The Defiance College Alumni Varsity 'D' Executive Board plans and implements the programs of the club. The Board consists of nine members-at-large, the officers and the ex-officio members which include the athletic director, sports information director, and alumni director. This board meets three times a year, mails periodic athletic newsletters to the membership, sponsors the Defiance College Athletic Hall of Fame, Coach of the Year, and the Honorary Letterman programs and plans an annual golf outing as a major fundraiser for future athletic projects
